My Bio

I’m Ian Graham. I’ve worked in Animation for over 10 years, most of which was storyboarding. After lots of encouragement from my friends in animation, I’m using Deviant Art to show my professional and personal work. Now, the bulk of what you will see are drawings but I have thrown in some color work from my student years and hopefully I will be adding new color work as I try to do more work for myself.

I am lucky enough to have worked on great shows with amazingly talented people involved. Some of the shows I have worked on include:

Glitch Techs

Pig Goat Banana Cricket

The Legend of Korra

The Cleveland Show

GI Joe Resolute

The Mighty B

Avatar the Last Airbender

Spongebob Squarepants

Danny Phantom

Fairly Odd Parents

and Invader Zim, just to name a few.

I have found that over the years you learn the most from working with the best. So, when choosing what jobs to take I choose the ones with the largest talent pool.

My influences are quite different. Everything from FLCL to Ren and Stimpy. I love Anime and UPA old school and new school. It’s all good.

I’m taking a different approach to showing my professional work. Normally, when presenting storyboards you show the boards but in this case I’m going to show panels, not entire boards. If I was up for a job I would present my board, but the main focus in this case is individual shots and the drawings behind them. What’s nice about this is sometimes boards can get technical and that’s only fun to look at if you storyboard. This way we don’t have to deal with separated pans, ols and s/a . Plus one storyboard sequence can be anywhere from 100 to 300 pages.

One other thing, I will be updating the artwork when time permits but I am bad at responding to comments, and when I do respond it tends to be short like “COOL“ or “Thanks“ or even “That hurts“, but I’ll do my best to respond.

Thanks.

Ian Graham

Happy *belated* Birthday!

Hi, I want ask about Avatar writers, is truly the romance of Zuko and Katara was meant to be or was Aang and Kataang

You are A Number 1, you get my seal of approval

So I watched Glitch Techs, it's pretty awesome and reminds me of Danny Phantom for some reason.
And Miko is my favourite character, she's cool.
it's a pleasure to find someone from the animation industry here on this site.
